ADESUWA OSAGIE FOUNDATION ENROLS INDIGENT YOUNG NIGERIANS FOR SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMS

Adesuwa Osagie Foundation (AOF) continues to render humanitarian activities to indigent Nigerian youths. Our humanitarian gesture took another dimension this time as we interacted with some selected young Nigerians who are from impoverished families, those with lesser privileges in basic necessities of life: in the course of our interaction with the young people, they indicated interest in acquiring skills on vocations which will enable them to render services to people and gain a level of financial independence. In partnership with some of AOF’s partners who are established in various enterprise and also renders vocational training and skill acquisition services, we have enrolled a number of these young people for different vocational training such as hair dressing, beauty enterprise, make-up artistry fashion design/ clothing and textile ventures. The enrollment was done by AOF with the consent and full support of the parents of these young people, at a forum held in the various vocation enterprises, comprising the young enrollees, their parents, the managers of these vocation enterprises and AOF team members. This will also enable direct interphase between the respective parents of the young enrollees and the managers of the various vocational enterprises. AOF’s goal is to see these young people acquired the relevant skills at the completion of the vocational training, become self-reliant by rendering services to people. They can even leverage on their financial independence to pursue higher formal/university education as they so desire.
